The ALIF solution provides direct anterior access to the lumbar intervertebral disc space while preserving the posterior musculature and neural structures. The ALIF system is intended for anterior lumbar interbody fusion procedures in selected lumbar degenerative diseases, spondylolisthesis, spinal instability and deformity cases. The anatomical cage restores disc height and supports sagittal alignment, while the anterior plate and screw system provides additional segmental fixation.

The following workflow presents a general ALIF surgical sequence. Final implant selection, surgical approach and fixation strategy should be determined by the surgeon according to the patient’s anatomy and clinical requirements.
The anterior approach provides direct access to the lumbar disc space, allowing implantation of a large-footprint interbody cage while preserving the posterior musculature and posterior neural structures.
A retroperitoneal anterior approach is performed to access the affected lumbar segment. The vessels and surrounding tissues are carefully mobilized to expose the intervertebral disc space.
The degenerated disc is removed, and the vertebral endplates are prepared to create an appropriate fusion bed while preserving sufficient structural support.
A lordotic cage filled with the selected bone graft material is inserted into the disc space to restore disc height, improve alignment and support fusion.
An anterior plate and screw system is positioned to stabilize the reconstructed lumbar segment. Supplementary posterior fixation may be applied according to the surgical plan.
Fluoroscopic imaging confirms implant position, disc height, spinal alignment and fixation before final wound closure.
