Hand Fixation FAQ

Which platform should we include in a hand fixation set?

Start with the plate references requested by your clinical team, then match screw diameters, lengths and instruments. The four platforms are portfolio choices, not a universal size-to-bone selection rule.

Are all four platforms suitable for every phalangeal fracture?

No. Phalangeal use requires confirmation for the exact implant, anatomy and approved indication. A general hand-system description does not establish suitability for every plate or fracture.

Can locking and cortical screws be used interchangeably?

Do not assume so. Match the screw family to the specific plate and hole. For example, the 1.5 mm Reconstruction Locking Plate specifies HC 1.5 locking screws, unlike several HA 1.5 / HC 1.5 options.

Does the instrument set include plates and screws?

The combined 1.5/2.0/2.4 mm instrument set contains no implants. Separate platform-specific sets include implant selections. Confirm the itemized tray contents and quantities before ordering.

Can one instrument set cover the 2.7 mm platform as well?

The combined set shown here is for 1.5, 2.0 and 2.4 mm platforms. A 2.7 mm configuration requires separate confirmation of drills, guides, taps and drivers.

What do you need to prepare a quotation?
