PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Fenestrated Pedicle Screw Fixation for MIS Thoracolumbar Procedures

The XC Medico MIS 5.5 system is designed for selected minimally invasive thoracolumbar fixation procedures. Fenestrations within the screw shaft allow compatible bone cement to be delivered through the screw according to the approved surgical technique.

The system includes monoaxial pedicle screws, monoaxial reduction screws, straight connecting rods, MIS curved rods and breakaway nuts. Final screw diameter, length, rod type and cement delivery protocol must be selected according to anatomy, bone quality and surgical planning.

Cement-Augmented MIS Pedicle Screw Features

Fenestrated Screw Shaft

Internal channels and lateral openings are designed for controlled delivery of compatible bone cement through the implanted screw.

Monoaxial Locking Interface

The fixed-head configuration supports direct screw-rod alignment and controlled construct assembly in selected thoracolumbar procedures.

Reduction Screw Option

Extended reduction tabs support rod approximation before final locking and tab removal according to the corresponding technique.

Broad Size Portfolio

Five screw diameters, multiple lengths and straight or curved rod options support product matching for different fixation plans.

5.5 mm Connecting Rods

Straight connecting rods are available from 35 to 150 mm; MIS curved rods are available across the listed short-length range.

Breakaway Nut

REF DECPZD55DS, specification Φ9.5 × 5.4, for final rod locking within the 5.5 mm construct.
